Research Interests

Host cells have a sophisticated arsenal of cytoplasmic sensors that monitor for microbes that gain access to the cytosol. Cyclic dinucleotides have emerged as important molecules that are sensed during infection in the cytosol. My work in the Woodward lab focuses on the characterization of a new bacterial cdN specific cytoplasmic sensor and how its interaction with cdNs shapes the immune response.
